The power of the break, the fallow field. My living has been made by CAD drafting, but 10 years ago I had reached my limit with a life of clicking, so I took up cleaning houses. It was both very informative (how do others live?) and very challenging (as people do not remember how dirty the place was before you started, and their expectations seem to increase proportionally with the filth level of their abode). So after some 7 years cleaning, I have returned to the CAD drafting 5 years ago. Having recently turned 60, I will probably 'retire' doing the CAD at 62, if there is any money left in the system. Who knows? Absence usually makes the heart grow fonder, eh?
Such a pleasure to talk with you Lydia! Thanks for having me on your podcast.
